As the TAPYRUS consist of extremely fine fiber, they are used in liquid filters, surgical masks, and lithium battery separators, etc. They are also used as combination with other materials in a wide range of fields from industrial items to daily goods, such as disposable medical products, industrial air filters, and water purification equipment of nuclear power.

yLiquid filtersz
Being constructed from ultra-fine fibers, TAPYRUS can remove particles which are 0.3 micro meters or larger, and is therefore the best material for all kinds of liquid filters. It contains no binders and can be autoclave sterilized, and is therefore utilized in final filters for food products such as beer, wine, sugar and soft drinks, and pre-filters for water ultra-purification in the semiconductor industry.

Polypropylene TAPYRUS is very durable and it has excellent liquid retention due to its ultra-fine fibers, making it completeness for lithium battery separators which require long life and reliability. Engineering plastic TAPYRUS is applied for heat resistant battery.

TAPYRUS has a bacteria filtration efficiency of 99% or more. However its characteristic of being easy to breath through meets MIL standards, and so it is used as a material in surgical face masks, along with various other kinds of dental masks, clean room masks, hay fever masks and food manufacturing masks.

With its excellent filtration, TAPYRUS is used independently or in combination with other nonwoven fabrics as the basic material of air filters with various as the applications apart from building air conditioners.
